3rd Annual ‘In Tune’ Contest Results                       By Bill Fuller

Here are the results of our third annual “In Tune Contest.”  We want to thank all those who submitted
entries. We hope you had fun doing it. Really, it’s pretty simple if you save your copies of the EARLYJAS Rag
from June to April. It’s even simpler now since the tie-breaker too is based on material from those issues. In
fact, it was so easy that every entry we received was perfect - so we
had to go to a drawing. Here are the results:

THIRD PRIZE (EARLYJAS Clock):    Garry G. Geist

SECOND PRIZE (Choice of CD from EARLYJAS:   Jim Szabo

FIRST PRIZE (2 Tickets to May 22, EARLYJAS Concert):  Regina Knapp

Prizes may be picked up at the reception desk at the next EARLYJAS concert or any
subsequent concert or jam session.  Second and third prize vouchers will be mailed. First prize tickets will be
mailed to the winner.
Congratulations to our winners and a big thank-you to all who participated. Save your "In Tune" columns
for another year and you'll have a leg up for our fourth contest next April. Questions will, once again, derive
entirely from the columns.

CONTEST
ANNOUNCING THE 3rd ANNUAL "IN TUNE" MUSICAL QUIZ

Here we go again. I've heard from a number of quarters that last year's contest was quite possibly a bit too
challenging. With that in mind I've made every effort to make this one less daunting. I'm hoping as many
members as possible will take a shot at it this year. There's nothing to lose. You might even have fun doing it;
and there are some nice prizes to be won.

The one major area I've revamped this year is that of the "tie-breaker" question. In past years it has been the
part of the quiz that has not been based on previous "In Tune" columns. However, this year ALL the questions
are based on information found in the June '04 through March '05 "In Tune" columns in your Earlyjas Rag.
Remember, in case of ties winning names will be drawn.

All Earlyjas members are eligible to participate except for board members and Earlyjas Rag staffers and their
relatives.

You can e-mail your answers to: jazzytubs@aol.com (please include your regular mailing address) or clip out
the appropriate part of this page and send it, regular mail, to: Bill Fuller,  14329 Elsetta Ave., Cleveland, Ohio,
44135. In either case the deadline is April 23, 2005 (please only one entry per person).

FIRST PRIZE:  Two(2) free passes to the May  concert.
SECOND PRIZE:  Your choice of a club CD.
THIRD PRIZE:  An Earlyjas clock.

Directions:  Pick the best match from COLUMN II and put its letter on the line next to the item it goes with in
COLUMN I. No answer is used more than once and four (4) answers are not used at all. Also, be sure to fill in
the tie-breaker.
