Christmas Party - December, 2006
The club's Christmas party was held on sun. Dec.10th. All of the elements were
present to insure a success including free admission, free food, a swinging jam
session and beautiful weather.  The result was a full-capacity crowd of
members, guests and musicians. It was a festive afternoon filled with the
holiday spirit.
The musicians were: trumpet/cornet- John Fridy, also vocals, Bill Gienson, Bill Smith, also vocals, Stan
Ebin, also washboard and Terry Brady, also piano.        Reeds- Barrett Taylor, Al Lemon, Mike Kovach,
Aid Harsh, and Don "Doc" Seymour.        Trombone- Red Evans, Dave Bair, Denny Smith and Jim
Hronek. Piano- Bob Boston, Bill Parthe, Jim Emert and Bob Erdman. Banjo/guitar- Ron Benach, Dave
Marshall, Parry Gander, Jesse Smith, Bob Martuck and Russ Mortus, also drums.        Bass- lew
kunkle.        Drums- Fred Gilt and Jerry Sanders.
Some of the tunes were; “Radio", "Avalon", "Careless Love" "Sourbon Street Parade" and "Closer Walk".
Seasonal tunes included "Rudolph", "Jingle Bells' and "Winter Wonderland".
 In the absence of festival director Wayne Vetter, vice-president Jim Emert presented a $1,500.00 check,
representing 2006 festival profit. Lee Heidorf, executive secretary of the Summit CountyKidney
Foundation expressed the foundation's grateful thanks and introduced several foundation members in the
audience including a recent kidney transplant recipient. Lee also acknowledged her husband Matt who
handles production of all the festival literature.
Thanks to Karen and Hank Dunasky for arranging for the delicious hors d'oeuvres and beautiful table
center pieces.
It was especially appropriate that Janet Meredith, social worker for the foundation won the 50-50 raffle.
Wayne Vetter won the American Rag subscription.
